Sat. February 4, 11:30AM Cabochon Class Using needle and thread, stitch a beaded bezel with a cabochon focal and Lacy’s Stiff Stuff as a backing. Finished piece could use as a pin or incorporated into a bigger piece of work.

Sat. February 4, 2:30PM Basic Jewelry Learn how to begin and end a simple handmade piece of jewelry, utilizing all the basic techniques, including turning the perfect loop and attaching jump rings.

Fri. February 10, 4:30PM Elegant Wire wrapped Cuff Join guest teacher, Cindy Goldrick, and learn how to wire-wrap a length of heavy gauge wire to create a sparkling cuff that you can wear on its own or stack with coordinating color bracelets. Then adapt this technique to create hoop earrings or a choker. Use crystals, pearls, metal balls -- any shape or size bead can be effective in this elegant design. Make several in class and you'll find you can't stop.

Sat. February 11, 10:30AM Viking Knit Bracelet Join guest teacher, Cindy Goldrick, and learn the ancient art of Viking knitting with wire using an updated Lazee Daizee tool developed by Stephanie Eddy. This amazing tool will have you knitting in no time at all. In class you’ll learn the basics of starting, knitting, joining, drawing out and finishing a piece. The chain you produce has many uses, including slinky bracelets, great chokers to showcase special beads and even earrings.

Sat. February 11, 2:00PM Stamping & Riveting Mixed Metal Bracelet Join guest teacher, Cindy Goldrick for this fun project. It will get out all of your aggression as you saw, punch, hammer, texture, bang, patina and stack these lovely, no-two-are-ever-the-same, stamped, dapped and riveted disks (copper, brass and nickel silver.) Let your imagination go and you’ll find you can apply this technique to rings, necklaces and lots of other embellishments.

Sat. February 18, 2:30PM Intro to Wire Wrapping Want to add another skill?... Learn how to make a lovely and secure focal with your newly acquired wire wrapping skills. You will make one simple piece of jewelry. Project and supplies will vary month to month.

Sat. February 25, 11:30AM Triple Threat Bangle style, stackable multi tiered, using Tila beads, Swarovski pearls, Swarovski crystals, size 11 seed beads and size 11 delicas. Previous needle and thread experience is helpful, but not required.

Sat. February 25, 2:30PM Tila Lattice Using Tila beads, 4mm Swarovski crystals, size 11 seed bead and size 15 seed beads create a wearable, flat bracelet.

Classes

Basic Jewelry For absolute beginners interested in learning the basics of jewelry making, “Beading 101” is perfect. Learn the mechanics, turning loops, materials, and tools involved in creating your own earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. You will leave with a finished piece by the end of class! $30 2 hours (some supplies included) Held monthly on the first Saturday at 2:30pm This class is skills instruction only.

Intro to Wire Wrapping Dip into the wonderful world of wire! Learn the techniques involved in chain linking, and creating dangles while designing your first wire wrapped piece! $30 2 hours (supplies not included) Some projects may not be completed in the time allotted. Project varies monthly.

Free Form Wire Working You’ll wish this class was longer than 2 hours! Create your own pendants, rings, and wrapped stones, while learning how to bend, twist, and curl wire. Bring ideas and get ready for a creative time! $30 2 hours (supplies not included) Projects vary based on students’ interest and level of experience. Intro to Wire Wrapping is a prerequisite to this class.

Needle and Thread Projects Most Saturdays we offer a variety of needle and thread projects. Classes will be rotated in the schedule. We are open to requests. $30 2 hours (supplies not included) Not all projects will be completed within the class time.
